Call it what you may but the blog has not reached the post count these past couple of weeks. So, to kick start the blog again I along with some hungry people traveled around the supposedly "good" places to try traditional MoMo. Yep, MOMOs. Our journey started at the famous "Boso Rahit MoMo" (Fat-less MoMo) at Bishal MoMo, Baneshwor and ended with a very satisfying Tandoori Momo at Sinka, Jawalakhel. We visited other eateries like Le Trio and 'Narayan dai's Masangaali ko Momo' in the middle of these two places. We were searching for that perfect snap and bite MoMo with a traditional kick but instead we got an innovation that satisfied our hunger for MoMo at the end of the whole journey. Its my birth month, the weather is gloomy (monsoon), lots of indoor time, the temperature is cool (I hate summer!) and everything looks vibrant after a downpour. There is nothing you can complain about in this season especially when you love the rain. If you are not all about the monsoon (like I am), let me introduce you to a nice cup of coffee and cookies along with a good movie on a rainy day; you'll love it, trust me. In this month of indoor fun we held our photography session under the roof. I was accompanied by our usual fellow photography enthusiast; Subigya Kumar Nepal, and this time we even brought a subject to flash light on; Rishav Mani Bhurtel, our dear friend from college. So, you might have already guessed but nevertheless I shall tell you, our photography session was regarding Flash Photography. Hello Everyone, it has not been long since I started blogging but I have already taken a much extended break. Today I would like to apologize for the unannounced break from the whole blogging thing. The reason behind this was exams, sports and other personal matters which I rather not go into details. The bottom line is I'm back and for good this time. I will be regularly posting blogs on photography as I stated in my earlier posts. Also, to my readers' delight due to popular demand I will be blogging on a new genre; Food. This genre will focus on local food adventures in Nepal. So, the R16 Blogs will be a hybrid food/photography blog. Finally, I would like to apologize for the much extended break from blogging and I hope to continue writing blogs for you; the readers, ever eager to read it (well that is what I hope the case is).

     Its a bit late but today I will be introducing myself. The "R16 Blog" is written by Ronit Pradhan (that's me) and the name of the blog is a play on the initials R and P(16), hence R16. I am currently a student at Deerwalk Institute of Technology pursuing by Bachelors in Computer Science and Technology (BSc.CSIT). I am a residence in the city Kathmandu, Nepal; which is not my hometown (if anybody was curious). I hail all the way from Banepa, Nepal (that's my hometown). My interests and hobbies include e-gaming, cooking, music and sports. Also, I've been into travelling and photography lately. Well enough about me, I'll tell you about the blog. Let us first visit the roots of my interest in photography. I've been the "camera-guy" in the family as far as I can remember, something about holding the camera (which was something new at first) just felt right.     This time around the journey to learn photography took me to Kathmandu Durbar Square. I was accompanied by Subigya Kumar Nepal; a fellow photography enthusiast. The stands were up by 9:30 pm and we were ready to shoot. While getting into this session we learned a lot about the beauty and essence of long exposures. As time passed we got to learn about the manipulation of lights to generate patterns but most importantly we learned how patience goes a long way while capturing the streaks of light. Every vehicle passing by was accounted for within that 30 sec exposure which created splendorous effects. At one point curiosity took me in front of the camera moving vigorously holding a flashlight which resulted in a failed attempt to write the initial 'R' (it turned into the number '91').     At around 10:30 pm we moved up our location a bit further towards the Kaal Bhairav statue where a rite was taking place so the stands were set and some p...
